Fans slam Ibrahima Konate for 'clown outfit' after Liverpool star arrives for France duty in bizarre gear

The centre-back was selected for the France squad for their upcoming Nations League fixtures over the next week or so. But his choice of attire appears to have raised a few eyebrows amongst football supporters on social media.

Another supporter @AEkataStudios wrote: "Unpopular opinion: FFF gatherings are getting worse and worse. Players are more focused on their clown outfits than their level, they live for the satellites. A suit or official attire should be mandatory, fed up with these crappy fashions."

The 25-year-old has made an impressive start to the season for Liverpool, and that has led to him being selected for Didier Deschamps' squad for their Nations League double-header. If the defender - who has 17 caps for France - performs well on the pitch, what he does off it may become less relevant.

Konate's France side resume their Nations League campaign away to Israel on Thursday evening, before travelling to Belgium three days later. The French have won one of their two matches in the competition so far.
