- Arsenal yet to decide pre-season schedule
- Community Shield participation will affect plans
- Canceled Germany training camp this season
WHAT HAPPENED?
Arsenal missed out on the Premier League title against Manchester City yet again on the final matchday of the league season. They will look to do one better next season against Pep Guardiola's juggernaut. However, it has been reported that the Gunners are yet to finalize their plans for the preparations for next season.
GettyTHE EXPLANATION
As per The Standard, Arsenal are waiting to see whether they will be participating in the Community Shield, which would be the case if Manchester City beat Manchester United on Saturday, May 25 in the FA Cup final. Generally, the North London side would end their pre-season with the Emirates Cup on the final weekend before the start of the season but if they are playing the Community Shield, they would undertake their ceremonial cup a week earlier.
DID YOU KNOW?
Arsenal have already scrapped their plans for pre-season camp in Germany at the Adidas HQ as they do every year. This is due to the fact that the Euros will be played earlier on, and they will only train at Arsenal's training grounds in London instead.
