Haaland may have signed a massive 10-year contract at Manchester City this year but that has not stopped speculation about a potential move to Spanish giants Barcelona or Real Madrid. THE BIGGER PICTURE

Haaland described last season as "boring and not fun" after a campaign where Pep Guardiola's side finished trophyless and the striker ended up behind Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak in the list of top Premier League scorers. City and Haaland are now hoping to pick up silverware at the Club World Cup, and the striker's father has spoken about his son's future after jetting to the United States to watch the tournament.

  • WHAT HAALAND SAID

He told Marca: "He is happy. Now he's focused and focused on the Club World Cup and... yes, he's happy."

Haaland senior also sees Manchester City as potential Club World Cup winners: "I think they are the favourites to win this tournament. We're seeing some good games. Yes, I think they're among the favorites . My son is very happy at Manchester City. Very happy."
