Douglas Luiz and Alisha Lehmann declare their love for each other as Aston Villa duo share cosy clips from glitzy 25th birthday bash

Switzerland international Lehmann has enjoyed a weekend off as her WSL employers at Aston Villa were in action on Friday night – claiming a 1-0 victory over Leicester. Villa’s men’s team, with Luiz among their ranks, have been enjoying a winter break – meaning that the Brazilian midfielder has spare time on his hands as well.

That has allowed Lehmann and Luiz to cosy up again off the field, with the pair enjoying another party a few weeks after their New Year celebrations. Their romance has been rekindled for 2024, with club colleagues in the West Midlands seeing their personal paths cross once more.

Lehmann was showered with gifts when turning 25 on January 21, with more balloons and strobe lights figuring prominently at her latest family get together. Luiz posted in a message for his beau on social media: "Happy birthday my love, how good it is to be part of your happiness." She was also presented with an elaborate Luis Vuitton-themed cake. Lehmann said "Love you" back to Luiz in the replies, and later added in her own Instagram post: "Thanks to everyone for making my 25th birthday so special, will never forget this memory! Cheers to many more years of memories and friendships."

Aston Villa’s women’s team will be back in action on Wednesday when facing Sunderland in the FA WSL Cup, before then travelling to Manchester United, while Luiz and the men – who are chasing down a top-four finish this season – have an FA Cup fourth-round clash at Chelsea to take in on January 26.
