United have been linked with a summer move for Wolves' Cunha. The centre-forward has scored 15 goals in 29 Premier League games this season, and he has a release clause worth £62.5 million ($84m) in his contract, which the Red Devils are ready to trigger. Amid speculation over the Brazilian's future, his Wolves team-mate Matt Doherty has heaped praise on the striker as the former Spurs player claimed that Cunha will play in the Champions League soon.
Getty Images SportTHE BIGGER PICTURE
The Red Devils are far from qualifying for any tier of European football next season through their league position, as they are currently placed 14th on the Premier League points table. The only way they can qualify for the Champions League next year is if they win the Europa League. They have reached the semi-final of the competition, where they are set to lock horns against Athletic Club in a two-legged tie.
