David Beckham joins Man Utd stars past & present to attend funeral of beloved Old Trafford receptionist Kath Phipps

Phipps spent more than five decades at Manchester United, beginning her journey in 1968 as a telephone switchboard operator during the Sir Matt Busby era. Over the years, she became a beloved figure at Old Trafford and earned the love and affection of generations of footballers and managers. Sadly, she passed away at the age of 85 last month.

Several Red Devils stars of past and present attended the beloved receptionist's funeral on Monday and they were joined by United icon David Beckham and legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Two weeks before Phipps' death, Beckham secretly travelled to meet her at her home. The 49-year-old shared an emotional moment with the woman who had been an integral part of his early years at the club.

Ruben Amorim's side will be next seen in action on January 12 as they take on Arsenal in an FA Cup third-round clash at Emirates Stadium.
