Darwin Nunez tempted by 'lucrative' Saudi transfer as Liverpool striker weighs up Napoli offer

The Uruguayan forward has been linked with a summer transfer, with Serie A title hopefuls Napoli and La Liga club Atletico Madrid interested in signing him. Saudi sides are also eager to snap him up, as Asharq Al-Awsat recently reported that Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli are all candidates.

According to Football Italia, the prospect of accepting a lucrative contract in the Middle East is a tempting one for Nunez, but Calciomercatoclaims that he is fascinated by the possibility of joining Napoli and will give a response to their offer in the coming days.

The 25-year-old is expected to be sold this summer following a disappointing campaign. He has made 45 appearances for Liverpool this season but only 17 of those have been from the start.

The ex-Benfica star came off the bench in Liverpool's last three league games and will hope to make another appearance when they face Brighton in their penultimate match of the 2024-25 campaign before the Reds end the season with a home game against Crystal Palace.
