Both the men's and women's teams are set to take their first steps under new managers Enzo Maresca and Sonia Bompastor, with the 'melting pot' design - which looks something like an oil slick - a nod towards that fresh start. The vibrant blue colour is said to represent the hottest part of a flame, and a "burning passion to unite the entire club behind a shared ambition to succeed on and off the pitch".

In a statement, Chelsea said: "Adding a unique touch to the design, an orange accent colour represents a different kind of fire coming through the ranks at the club. Chelsea’s Cobham training centre is world-renowned for nurturing talent onto the world’s stage.

"This orange accent serves as a symbol of their vibrant energy and potential. Continuing the story of Chelsea's historic success and the dynamic culture of London, the home shirt features a distinctive 'melting pot' pattern. Resembling liquid gold and silver, this pattern represents the fusion of Chelsea's rich legacy with the ever-hot youth culture of the city. It is a symbol of the club's past achievements and our commitment to embracing the future."

The kit has been released without a front-of-shirt sponsor for the second year in a row, as the Blues look for a replacement for Infinite Athlete after their single-season deal expired. Chelsea added: "Retail shirts available to buy worldwide from today will have no 'front of shirt' branding. If a 'front of shirt' partner is subsequently announced in the future, fans will have the opportunity to purchase this version via the Megastore or online store. Unfortunately, the club cannot offer fans the opportunity to return blank shirts for partner branding to be applied post-purchase at any retail site."

Chelsea are set to begin life under Maresca and Bompastor, with the men's team having already reconvened for pre-season. Maresca's side are heading on pre-season tour to the US, where they will face Man City and Real Madrid, among others.
