    According to DAZN, Chelsea are plotting a move to sign Wolfsburg and Germany international Lena Oberdorf in a bid to strengthen their midfield before the January transfer window closes. The deal is expected to go through irrespective of who replaces Emma Hayes as the new club manager next summer.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    The 22-year-old made her professional debut for German club SGS Essen in 2018 and two seasons later moved to Wolfsburg. She won the Frauen-Bundesliga title with the She-Wolves in the 2021/22 season and was a part of the Germany squad that finished runners-up behind England at the 2022 Women's European Championships.

Currently, Swedish coach Elisabet 'Beta' Gunnarsdottir is being linked with a move to the London club.
