(C)Getty ImagesTHE EXPLANATION
Enzo Maresca and the club are keen to ensure that they have a fully fit squad to choose from when they enter the 2024-25 campaign and, as a result, will not let either Fernandez or Mudryk play in the Paris tournament. Were Fernandez to play, he would miss the entirety of pre-season, and the same goes for the winger.
GettyWHAT NEXT?
Fernandez and Mudryk will hope to taste glory at international level this summer. The Olympics, though, looks set to go ahead without them.
