Former <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/eden-hazard-returns-chelsea-soccer-aid-charity-match-stamford-bridge-mauricio-pochettino-frank-lampard/blt7baca9227d0a6fc9" target="_blank">fan favourite Hazard</a>, who landed domestic and continental trophies during his time in west London, has told <a href="https://talksport.com/football/1896862/eden-hazard-chelsea-mauricio-pochettino-cesc-fabregas/ " target="_blank">talkSPORT</a> of the decision to sever ties with Pochettino: “I was a bit sad, to be fair. I think that he did a great job. I know that people want Chelsea to be in the top four but it’s just a season of transition. He’s a great manager, I wish him good luck and let’s see who is going to be there in the future.”

WHAT HAZARD SAID

Pressed on whether outgoing Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi could be a good choice for Chelsea, given his Premier League experience, Hazard said: "Maybe."The Belgian added when throwing another name into the mix, with Spanish World Cup winner <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/como-cesc-fabregas-ibiza-serie-a-promotion/blt43234ad4906f9211" target="_blank">Fabregas having enjoyed promotion to Serie A in 2023-24</a> while working as a caretaker and assistant coach: “I also have my friend in Como, he can be the first manager.”
