- Croatian team has very similar crest
- Final ultimatum sent to change it
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to Epodravina, the Premier League outfit demanded Croatian third-tier side Jadran-Galeb to change their emblem, which is practically identical - bar the text.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The report adds that Jadran-Galeb will acquiesce to Brighton's demands and no legal action will come their way if they change their badge. The County Football Association had to remove the Jadran-Galeb logo from its official pages and now the team will come up with a new crest design.
DID YOU KNOW?
Brighton adopted their logo in 1977, whereas Jadran-Galeb only formed in 2001. During the 1974-75 season, the Sussex team became known as The Dolphins before switching to the Seagulls several years later.
