  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The Bundesliga club has ruled out any transfer for the striker in January, citing ongoing challenges, including injuries and the collapse of the Noah Okafor deal. Additionally, Leipzig has informed interested clubs that there is no release clause applicable in January, and even an offer in the region of €60–65 million (£50m/$62m-£55/$67m) would not sway their decision.

    WHAT SESKO'S AGENT SAID

Sesko’s agent, Elvis Basanovic, dismissed reports suggesting that Arsenal had engaged in talks for a loan move involving the forward and claimed that his client is not a player Leipzig would consider loaning under any circumstances.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, Basanovic said: “I don’t know where this story has come from but I have never talked with Arsenal about a loan move for Sesko. Sesko is not a player for loans and this was never a topic with Arsenal or any other club. If you ask me if Sesko will move in January, I can only say Sesko is an RB Leipzig player and fully focused on that."

Leipzig manager Marco Rose reinforced this sentiment, stating, “That’s not the case, not the topic for us,” when asked about a possible January exit for the Slovenian forward.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Gunners have admired the 20-year-old since last summer and consider him a top prospect for both the present and the future. However, Leipzig’s unwillingness to entertain offers this winter has made any immediate move improbable. NoneArsenal remains active in maintaining contact regarding Šeško, with plans to potentially revisit the situation in the summer.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Arsenal are not alone in keeping tabs on Sesko’s development. Chelsea have also expressed interest in the Slovenian forward, with their scouting network keeping a close eye on his performances. Additionally, Barcelona have reportedly sent scouts to observe Sesko multiple times this season, though the Catalan giants have yet to make a definitive decision on whether to pursue a striker in the upcoming transfer window.

    WHAT NEXT FOR SESKO?

Sesko’s talent and potential have attracted widespread attention across Europe. He has 13 goals and three assists from 25 appearances across competitions this campaign, making him a hot commodity among top-tier clubs. While a January move seems out of the question, the summer window could present an opportunity for Arsenal to swoop in for the coveted striker.
