Bayern Munich believe they can seal Bruno Fernandes transfer as Man Utd captain tipped to join Harry Kane & Co in Germany amid 'frustration' over lack of success at Old Trafford

Bayern Munich reportedly believe they can lure a frustrated Bruno Fernandes away from Manchester United and pair him up with Harry Kane in Germany.

WHAT HAPPENED?
According to The Independent, the Bavarian giants are confident of enticing Fernandes to the Bundesliga, capitalising on the midfielder's frustration with the current situation at Old Trafford. With a desire to win major trophies in the prime of his career, Fernandes, at 29, is said to be mulling over his future at United and Bayern believe they can persuade him to take on a new challenge.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The report also adds that United's hierarchy would be open to negotiating a deal for Fernandes, as they seek to comply with the Profit and Sustainability Rule requirements and embark on a squad overhaul. This potential transfer could also play a role in persuading manager Thomas Tuchel to stay at Bayern, as he has expressed a desire for additional creative options in the team, should he continue in the hot seat in the next campaign.
DID YOU KNOW?
The potential pairing of Fernandes with Kane adds further intrigue to Bayern's transfer plans. The English striker has been on a goalscoring spree in Germany, netting 44 times in 45 appearances, and if the creative Portuguese is added to the roster his goal-scoring exploits could scale even greater heights.
Moreover, Fernandes has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia with Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad all thought to be interested in his services.

WHAT NEXT?
United have reportedly voted against the "anchoring rule" in the Premier League which would have limited their spending to the bottom clubs' income as they are gearing up for a massive transfer window which could see several incomings and departures.
Hence, the prospect of Fernandes joining Bayern presents an enticing opportunity for all parties, with the midfielder eager to win silverware, United looking to sell to fuel their transfer ambitions, and Bayern aiming to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. However, the German outfit will reportedly be required to shell out a hefty amount for the midfielder, who has been one of the better performers in the United squad in an otherwise underwhelming campaign that sees them languishing in the eighth spot in the Premier League standings.
