  • David Seaman slams United players
  • Slams lack of efforts against Crystal Palace
  • Hopes they play similarly against Arsenal
  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Over the last few years, Manchester United have become a shell of their former selves, as this season has been a major downfall for the club as they head towards their worst league finish in over 30 years. Their poor form was showcased by their 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Crystal Palace last weekend and with the Red Devils set to take on Arsenal this weekend, Seaman hopes Erik ten Hag employs the same lineup against the Gunners.

    WHAT SEAMAN SAID

Speaking to Betway, the former Arsenal keeper said: "How confident am I about Arsenal's chances at Old Trafford this weekend? I've got fantastic memories of this game, winning the league at Old Trafford, but also bad memories when we got beaten 6-1.

"Arsenal are going to win, Arsenal have to win with a massive performance to put pressure on City. You don't know what Man Utd side are going to turn up after their effort – or lack of effort – against Palace. I hope United keep the same team.

"It's all about winning for Arsenal and if you want me to do a prediction, I'd take any win, even 10-9. The game's going to be won or lost with United’s defence against Arsenal’s attack. I just think that Arsenal are going to be too much for them. Whoever plays, whether it's Havertz or even Jesus, there's goals there."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

For Arsenal, the clash against United at Old Trafford will be crucial as they look to win their first Premier League title since the 2003/04 season. They face the Red Devils on Sunday, over 24 hours after their title rivals, Manchester City, face Fulham, so they may well be second in the table at the time of kick-off.

WHAT NEXT FOR ARSENAL AND MAN UTD?

The two Premier League giants will now face off at Old Trafford on Sunday, May 12 as they both look to gather three points with different goals in their minds. City, amazingly, will be hoping their bitter rivals do them a favour.
