Getty/GOALArsenal told they've been 'irresponsible' as Gunners fans label their transfer window a 'disaster'
WHAT HAPPENED?
Arsenal have been linked with bringing in a new winger to add depth to their attacking options, with Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling and Kingsley Coman, who reportedly wants to leave Bayern Munich, linked with the club.

However, reporters from Sky Sportsand The Athletic have since stated that the Gunners will not bring in a new signing on the final day of the transfer window. The news sparked anger from some supporters because of the lack of replacements for the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, who was sold to Fulham, and Crystal Palace-bound Eddie Nketiah.
WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING
Patrick Timmons wrote on X: "Smith Rowe left, Nketiah leaving, Fabio Vieira left, Gabriel Jesus injured, [Gabriel] Martinelli’s confidence on the floor. Not a single attacking reinforcement signed. We can’t be this stupid, can we?"
"Vieira, Smith Rowe & Nketiah played a combined 72 times last year," @bhavss14 wrote. "How can you let all three go & not sign a single replacement?"
"Disaster. Thats the word," said @ltarsenal. "How can you spend close to £500m over 3 seasons but just £25m on a wide forward. How can you let Vieira, ESR and Eddie go without bringing in a replacement, let alone a level raiser. All this when fixtures are only going to mount. Not good enough."
"Failing to sign an attacker having moved ESR, Eddie and Fabio on, is plain irresponsible," said @Rory_Talks_Ball. "Ridiculous position to put [Bukayo] Saka in as well".
Referencing the 2015 signing of goalkeeper Petr Cech, @aliladiere wrote: "This window is worse than the one in which we only sign Cech."
Another fan, @aliftbll, said: "At least if this transfer window has done anything, I hope it’s finally woken up the Arsenal fans to how incompetent Edu Gaspar is."
"The way this window has played out shows why Arsenal fans who always panic and complain early on soon as transfer season starts are always right to do so," said @EideballHater99. "The 'wait till the end of the window' crowd either have short term memories or are deliberately choosing to be stupid."

The north London club finished runners-up to Manchester City in the Premier League over the last two seasons and are aiming to go one further this time around by beating Pep Guardiola's team to the crown. However, their fans appear to be growing more dismissive of any hope of doing so as the transfer window nears its end.
