WHAT HAPPENED?
The Italian manager replaced Nuno Espirito Santo as Spurs boss in November 2021 at a time when the club had faced a series of defeats and were struggling at the ninth position in the Premier League table. Under the Italian coach, though, they slowly picked up form and ended the season in fourth position, thereby securing Champions League qualification. However, Conte's honeymoon period with the north London side did not last long as he was sacked towards the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

While many feel that the ex-Chelsea boss' stint as Spurs coach did not go to plan, the manager himself has claimed that he exceeded expectations. Ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, Conte took charge of Napoli and has completely transformed the squad as they currently enjoy a seven-point lead over Inter at the top of the Serie A table after ten games.
WHAT ANTONIO CONTE SAID
Speaking to DAZN, the 55-year-old said: "I think I did very, very well at Spurs. I arrived with the squad in 9th position and we qualified to the Champions League. I’m sure I did the best job possible for Tottenham. I can’t do miracles."
