  • WHAT HAPPENED?

An 87th-minute equaliser from Boulaye Dia saw Napoli drop points against Lazio in a 2-2 draw. The result means that Napoli can be knocked off the top of the Serie A table on Sunday if defending champions Inter beat Juventus in a huge game in Turin.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

There's no doubt that Napoli have suffered at the hands of Lazio this season. Marco Baroni's side beat them 3-1 in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia and also won 1-0 in Serie A earlier in the season. Napoli may have avoided defeat this time around but the point could prove costly in their hunt for the Scudetto.

  • WHAT CONTE SAID

Conte told DAZN: "Lazio were our bogeyman, we must continue like this being proud of what we are doing and sweating through the shirt, just as we do every game. These draws at the Stadio Olimpico must be seen as positive results. We must never forget where we started from, as today we stopped the bleeding, we could’ve been happier, but this is football. We try to do our best, not getting swept up in emotional aspects or other things. We know how hard we worked to get to the top of the table. Seeing the extraordinary things we are doing makes me proud."

    WHAT NEXT FOR NAPOLI

Napoli have now endured three straight draws in Serie A but will attempt to get back to winning ways next time out against Cesc Fabregas' struggling Como side. The match will see Conte come up against Fabregas who he managed during his time at Chelsea.
