Alisha Lehmann reveals how she's living 'the dream' at Como Women after transfer from Juventus

  • Lehmann swapped Serie A title holders for new challenge

As one of the most recognisable players in the women’s game, Lehmann has grown accustomed to operating under the brightest of spotlights. Her celebrity status is being put to good use, with a deaf ear and blind eye being turned to any detractors. The 26-year-old makes no apologies for who she is and will continue to play with a smile on her face. That process has been made even easier since linking up with Como.

Lehmann is now based on the banks of an iconic lake, with picturesque surroundings providing the perfect backdrop for her professional endeavours. An immediate impact has been made with Como Women, having opened her goal account in pre-season, while passions outside of football are also being followed.

  • Milan to Munich: Lehmann having fun off the pitch

Several stars from Como’s squad, including Lehmann, recently attended the legendary Milan Fashion Week. They teamed up with Prada and Nike as modelling skills were put to the test. Time has also been spent enjoying Oktoberfest in Munich, with giant steins of beer being chugged while donning traditional Bavarian dresses. Lehmann could not be much happier right now.

She has highlighted as much when posting another series of snaps on Instagram. Her 16.4 million followers have been treated to look at how the last few months have played out for the Switzerland international, with Lehmann saying: “You have to be possessed with the dream.” She is now living that to the full.

  • Why Lehmann joined Como Women project

Lehmann said when sealing her switch to Como Women, with their groundbreaking project holding plenty of appeal: “It’s the first time I’ve joined an independent club — not linked to a men’s team. That was an important factor in my decision. It shows that there’s a different way to approach football, and maybe it can inspire others to follow this path. I want to be part of that.

“Here, I can grow both as a footballer and as a person. I want to help the team compete at the highest level, but also inspire a new generation of fans and athletes. F.C. Como Women is a space where you don’t have to choose between being strong on the pitch and being yourself off it. Here, I can be all of who I am - and turn that into something positive, especially for those watching.”

She went on to say: “This club wants to build something that lasts. What immediately struck me about F.C. Como Women was the vision. It’s not just a club that wants to win - it’s a project that aims to change the rules of the game, on and off the pitch. Here, football, identity, style, and ambition come together in a way I had never seen before. I felt like this was the right place to truly express who I am, both as an athlete and as a person.

“I know it’s a young club, but with a very clear sense of purpose. It’s not afraid to do things differently - and to me, that’s a sign of strength. F.C. Como Women wants to become a benchmark in women’s football, not just in Italy but across Europe & the world. It’s a project that blends sport, fashion, culture, and real values - and I believe that’s exactly what women’s football needs right now.”
