Akanji: "Inter aren't afraid of anyone. We want the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia"

Inter
M. Akanji

Although his Switzerland side surprised everyone despite losing 4-3 to Germany in yesterday evening’s friendly, Manuel Akanji remains 100% focused, above all, on the final stretch of the season with Inter.

The Swiss centre-back is not letting the pressure of a lack of results get to him and, speaking to Sportmediaset, he reiterated that the Nerazzurri are aiming for the Cup and League double without fearing anyone.

  • WE WANT THE DOUBLE

"We want to win both of the remaining competitions, the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia. We’re top of Serie A with a six-point lead and we want to stay there until the end, and the same goes for the cup. We’ve got a home game against Como; we hope to win that too and clinch the title."

  • INTER ARE NOT AFRAID OF ANYONE

"To be honest, we’re only focused on ourselves. We don’t pay attention to our opponents and, above all, we’re not afraid of anyone (laughs – ed.). We need to win our matches, and if we do, we’ll be champions."
