Gunslinging Sam - Sam Darnold Over 1.5 Passing TDs (+105)

Sam Darnold has quietly been one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks through the first five weeks of the season. The Seahawks signal caller ranks first in the league in passing yards per attempt, third in completion percentage, and third in passer rating.

Darnold has been good enough that Pro Football Focus has graded him as the fourth-best QB in the league so far. Last weekend, he was superb even as his Seahawks fell 38-35 to the Buccaneers. He threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns, along with one interception.

So far, Darnold has managed multiple TD passes in three of the Seahawks’ five games. He should be able to throw a couple today, especially with a star wideout like Jaxon Smith-Njigba as a target. Take Darnold over 1.5 TD passes, at +105 odds.

Top-Scoring Offenses Lead to Over -  Over 47.5 Points (-105)

Both teams have top-ten scoring offenses heading into Week 6. The Seahawks have scored 29.2 points per game and are coming off a 73-point thriller, which they lost, against the Buccaneers. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have scored at least 26 points in four of their five games this season.

Before Monday night, the Chiefs hadn’t allowed 30 or more points in a game this season, and the Jaguars scored 31 in their comeback victory. Jacksonville also creates chaos on defense, which leads to frequent takeaways and subsequent good field position.

While both offenses can be run-heavy at times, the Seahawks have allowed just 3.3 yards per opponent carry this season. That could force the Jaguars to lean on Trevor Lawrence with mixed results. Regardless, expect the total to be closer to 50 than 47.5.

Seahawks to Continue Streak - Seahawks ML (+100)

Heading into this game, the Seattle Seahawks are on an eight-game road winning streak. This is also the first time this season they are facing a bottom-half defense in terms of opponent yards per rushing attempt.

Even facing top-half defenses in his first five games, Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III has averaged 4.9 yards per carry. A lot of Jacksonville’s success has come on the ground, and QB Trevor Lawrence ran for two TDs against the Chiefs on Monday.

Seattle has had one of the stingiest run defenses in the league, giving up just two rushing TDs all season. Forcing Lawrence to throw the ball should lead to some mistakes. Sure, Jacksonville leads the league in takeaways per game, but the Seahawks should win if they limit their errors.
