How to watch Wisconsin vs Miami (OH) NCAAF game: Live stream, TV channel, and start time

The Miami (OH) RedHawks head to Madison on Thursday night for a showdown at Camp Randall against the Wisconsin Badgers, a matchup that pits one of the MAC’s most consistent programs against a Big Ten giant hungry to reestablish itself.

Miami has quietly become a model of stability under long-time head coach Chuck Martin, who enters his 12th year at the helm. The RedHawks have racked up 20 wins across the last two seasons and punched their ticket to four straight bowl games.

For Wisconsin, 2024 was a year the fan base would love to forget. The Badgers stumbled to just five wins, snapping a bowl streak that had stretched back to 2002. Now in his third season, Luke Fickell is tasked with making sure history doesn’t repeat itself — Wisconsin hasn’t missed bowls in consecutive years since 1992.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch Wisconsin vs Miami (OH) NCAAF game, plus plenty more.

Wisconsin vs Miami (OH) team news & key players

Wisconsin Badgers team news

The Badgers turn to Billy Edwards Jr., a transfer from Maryland, as their new signal-caller. Edwards passed for nearly 2,800 yards with 15 touchdowns last season, and he’ll be paired with new offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes, who leans heavily on power running and tight end play. That philosophy could pave the way for breakout campaigns from freshman back Darrion Dupree and tight end Tanner Koziol, giving Wisconsin’s offense some much-needed firepower.

Defensively, Wisconsin looks far more like the teams that used to dominate the trenches in the Big Ten. Western Michigan transfer Corey Walker brings proven pass-rush ability with eight sacks and 15 tackles for loss in the last two years. Ricardo Hallman is the star of the secondary, coming off a seven-interception 2023, while linebacker Jake Chaney (nearly 200 career tackles) and Christian Alliegro (66 stops, 3 sacks last year) provide toughness in the middle.

Miami (OH) RedHawks team news

This fall the offense will look almost unrecognizable. Gone are most of last year’s starters and playmakers, but in comes Dequan Finn, a dynamic dual-threat quarterback who arrives from Toledo and Baylor with over 7,300 career passing yards and 66 touchdown throws to his name. To help him out, Martin has brought in reinforcements: wideout Deion Colzie (Notre Dame), receiver Darion Williams (Florida State), and Keith Reynolds (Washington) headline a revamped attack. The line remains a question mark after heavy attrition, but the talent influx gives Miami plenty of intrigue.

On the other side of the ball, the RedHawks look far more settled. They return four starters from a defense that finished top-20 nationally in 2024. The secondary might be the crown jewel, anchored by the trio of Silas Walters, Eli Blakey, and Luke Evans. Linebacker Corban Hondru is coming off a 70-tackle, 3-interception season, while Adam Trick tallied 4.5 sacks a year ago. Miami’s defense should once again be its calling card, and if the new-look offense can gel quickly, the RedHawks could stay near the top of the MAC race.
