After four years in the role, Marketing Director Rouven Kasper will join FC Bayern in January 2026 to succeed Michael Diederich as Director of Marketing and Sales.

Wehrle admits he takes Kasper's move "personally", noting that he filled in as CEO for seven months. "It's madness – and I didn't get a single euro," he added sarcastically.
Kasper had requested that VfB terminate his contract, which was due to run until 2028, so Bayern did not have to pay a transfer fee. The 44-year-old had previously worked for the Munich club as "President Asia" from 2016 to 2021, before joining the VfB board in January 2022.
