Ronaldo goes into the World Cup off the back of an incredible season which saw him lead Real Madrid to a third consecutive Champions League title.
The Portguese forward netted a stunning 15 times in European competition and backed that up with 26 league goals - with 22 of those La Liga strikes coming in 2018 alone.
However, the current Ballon d'Or holder has never netted more than once at a single World Cup and enters his fourth - and likely final - tournament with a point to prove.

Ronaldo is fourth-favourite to lift the Golden Boot and become just the second Portugal player to do so after Eusebio in 1966.
He has just three World Cup goals to his name though - against Iran, North Korea and Ghana, respectively - and faces a tall order to add to them this summer.
That aside, his nine strikes in four European Championships may be of encouragement as he looks to end his World Cup career with a bang.
