Wednesday's Euro 2016 semi-final pits Portugal against Wales, which means that Real Madrid club-mates Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale will go head to head.
The duo form two-thirds of Los Blancos' famous 'BBC' front line, with the Portuguese generally regarded as the star attraction. Ronaldo has enjoyed unprecedented success in front of goal with the European champions but Bale thrived under Zinedine Zidane's leadership last season.

Now the context is different as the two players line up with their countries. Ronaldo has had a testing European Championship thus far, finding the net only twice in a Portugal side who are defensively orientated, but, on the flip side, Bale has been one of the stars of the tournament with Chris Coleman's outfit, who were not expected to go so deep into the tournament.
While Ronaldo has three Ballons d'Or to his name, the Welshman has no such individual prizes – but should the former Manchester United man still be considered the better player or does Bale's outstanding Euros give him the edge?
