We accept that the article was false and misleading. Mykhailo Mudryk is not banned from football; he is currently subject to a provisional suspension, and no final decision has been made in his anti-doping case. Additionally, Mr Mudryk is not considering a career as an Olympic sprinter, and any suggestion to the contrary was incorrect and harmful.
We apologise unreservedly to Mr Mudryk for the distress, embarrassment, and damage caused by the publication. The article has been removed from our platforms.
