Guardiola would be 'sad' if Sane left


Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has said he'd prefer Leroy Sane to remain with the club.

Bayern Munich are interested in the player, who didn't start in some key games for City at the end of last season, but the Blues have offered him a contract extension.

"The agreement is good and if he wants to leave, I'll be sad. Hopefully, he stays," Guardiola said after Sane scored twice in a pre-season friendly win over Kitchee.

Gbamin set for Everton


Jean-Philippe Gbamin is set on a move to Everton his agent has told Le Parisien.

The arrival of the Mainz midfielder will pave the way for Idrissa Gana Gueye to swap Goodison Park for Paris Saint-Germain.

"Jean-Philippe is attracted to the idea of joining Everton," said his agent Bernard Collignon.

The deal could cost the Toffees as much as €30m (£27m/$33m) according to the French outlet.

De Rossi heads to Argentina


Former Roma legend Daniele De Rossi has been seen at Fiumicino Airport in Rome en route to Argentina where he is set to sign for Boca Juniors.

Gianluca Di Marzio took photos of the midfielder as he prepared to board a flight to Buenos Aires.

De Rossi was controversially let go by Roma at the end of last season ending a 16-year association with the Serie A club.

Klopp dismisses any Bale talk


Jurgen Klopp has rubbished suggestions his club should sign Gareth Bale, telling Sky Sports he's 'outstandingly expensive.'

Former Liverpool player Paul Ince had said he thought the Reds should move for the winger, but the German manager said it wasn't an option.

Bale is unwanted at Real Madrid, but his high wages make any move difficult for the Wales international.

Barca hoping for €150m in sales this summer


The club are open to selling a number of their key contributors

Barcelona are hoping to raise €150 million (£134m/$167m) in sales this summer, according to ESPN FC.

In an effort to raise funds, Barca are actively looking to find buyers for Philippe Coutinho, Malcom and Rafinha Alcantara.

Additionally, the Blaugrana are open to offloading Ivan Rakitic, Samuel Umtiti and Arturo Vidal should an attractive offer be presented. 


Chelsea monitoring Portsmouth teenager


Chelsea are keeping an eye on Portsmouth winger Leon Maloney, according to The Sun. 

The 18-year-old has been followed by multiple Premier League sides after scoring 26 goals for Portsmouth's academy side last season.

West Ham and Fulham are also monitoring Maloney's progress, as well as Dutch champions Ajax.

Xavi Simons broke Barcelona hearts by leaving the club's academy to sign with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday.

Lampard set to give James a chance


Reece James is likely to be preferred to Davide Zappacosta as Cesar Azpilicueta's backup at Chelsea next season, says The Mirror.

James's promotion would be part of a movement by new Blues boss Frank Lampard to promote young homegrown players, which predecessor Maurizio Sarri was criticised for not doing last year.

Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has reportedly told Lazio players he will be moving this summer.

The Serbia international has been a long-term target for the Red Devils, but The Express stops short of saying he'll make the move to Old Trafford, despite suggesting a contract may already be in place.

If he does move there he'll add to a central midfield weakened by the recent departures of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Hererra, and could even replace wantaway Paul Pogba.

Sheffield United turn to Hart


Newly promoted Sheffield United may look to Joe Hart to play in goal as their first-choice, Dean Henderson's loan deal has hit a snag.

The Daily Mail says that Henderson's parent club Manchester United are asking for a loan fee for Henderson, who impressed for the Blades last term as they were promoted from the Championship.

With a tight budget Chris Wilder's men are considering the former England keeper, who is third choice at his current club, Burnley, should they not be able to snare Henderson.

They've also made inquries about Mechelen 'keeper Michael Verrips, says the paper.

Brighton prepare Tavernier bid


90 Min says that Brighton are set to table an offer for Rangers captain James Tavernier, joining Aston Villa and Newcastle in trying to tempt the defender away from Ibrox.

The 27-yer-old tallied 17 goals and 20 assists last season from his full-back berth and the Glasgow side want to tie him to a long-term extension to a contract that expires in 2022.

The Scottish giants know they cannot compete with the salaries on offer south of the border, and would not stand in Tavernier's way, should he receive a sizeable offer, says the report.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has been left isolated by the club's release of fellow Brazil international Dani Alves, says the Express (via L'Equipe).

Neymar has made no secret of his desire to return to Barcelona, where he played alongside Alves, who was allowed to leave the Ligue 1 champions after last season.

The departure of his friend has left the world's most expensive footballer on the outside of the squad looking in, says the report.

Everton look to hijack Arsenal's Zaha deal


Reports suggest Everton are interested in Wilfried Zaha, which may scupper Arsenal's hopes of landing the Crystal Palace man.

Everton's interest was first reported by Jim White on TalkSport, and later confirmed by Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol on Twitter.

Arsenal's interest has long been understood, and Zaha is said to prefer a move there, but their £40m ($50m) offer has been rejected as the Eagle value the player at closer to £80m ($100m).

The confirmation that Marco Asensio ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament against Arsenal on Wednesday comes as a huge blow for the winger and Real Madrid.

Vinagre signs new Wolves deal


Wolves full-back Ruben Vinagre has signed a five-year contract extension, it has been confirmed.

The 20-year-old made 21 appearances for Wolves last season, impressing enough to earn a contract that runs until 2024.

"Ruben has developed impressively since joining the club two seasons ago and is an important part of Nuno’s squad," Wolve sporting director Kevin Thelwell.

“As the club has grown in recent times, Ruben has done the same, and performed commendably when called upon in the Premier League last season."

Rangers have confirmed that Kyle Lafferty's contract has been terminated.

The attacker made 30 appearances for the Glasgow side last season, having joined in August 2018.

The 31-year-old had a year to run on his contract, but Rangers have agreed to cut his spell short.


AC Milan explore Andre Silva options after Monaco deal collapses


AC Milan are still working on offloading striker Andre Silva after his expected move to Monaco fell through.

Silva had a medical with the Ligue 1 side but they soon backed out of the deal because of concerns about his physical condition.

Both the player and Milan are upset by the news, as Calciomercato reports that they still want to sell him before the transfer window closes.

Miazga returns to Reading on loan


Chelsea have loaned Matt Miazga back to Reading for the 2019-20 season.

The centre-back spent the second half of last season with the Championship side, making 18 appearances, and the Royals have opted to bring him back for a full year.

Spurs consider selling attacking midfielder

Manchester United may be weighing up a move for Christian Eriksen after contacting Tottenham about the attacking midfielder.

The Daily Mail reports that the Red Devils have asked Spurs to keep them updated on the Denmark international's situation as he enters the final year of his contract.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have all been linked with Eriksen and Tottenham may be willing to let him go for around £70 million.

PSG on verge of £28m Gueye signing


Paris Saint-Germain are expected to announce the signing of Idrissa Gueye from Everton this week.

The French club have been linked with the midfielder for months, having tried to sign him in January. 

PSG have finally reached an agreement over a £28 million ($35m) fee with the Toffees, according to Sky Sports, and a move seems imminent.

Chelsea loan Baker to Fortuna Dusseldorf


Lewis Baker has joined Fortuna Dusseldorf on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

The 24-year-old midfielder spent last season in the Championship, spending short spells on loan at Leeds and then Reading.

Baker had previously impressed in Netherlands with Vitesse and has opted for a second foreign adventure, joining the newly-promoted Bundesliga team.

Celtic have announced the signing of Hatem Abd Elhamed from Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

The 28-year-old defender and defensive midfielder signed a four-year contract with the Scottish champions, saying: “It is an absolute honour to sign for this great club, one of the world’s truly great football clubs and I could not be happier."

Arsenal looking to add up to four new signings


Arsenal are continuing their pursuit of Wilfried Zaha and Kieran Tierney as they prepare to announce the signings of Dani Ceballos and William Saliba.

So far only teenage Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli has arrived through the door in north London this summer, with the 18-year-old joining from Ituano in a £6 million ($8m) deal.

But he will soon be followed by Ceballos and Saliba, who both travelled to London on Wednesday to put the finishing touches on their moves to the Emirates.

Solskjaer not worried about Pogba treatment amid Madrid links


Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says he is not worried about Manchester United fans' treatment of Paul Pogba despite the midfielder's desire to leave the club this summer.

Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, revealed earlier this month that the midfielder is "in the process of" negotiating an exit from Old Trafford. 

While Juventus have been linked with bringing him back to Italy, it is Real Madrid who are leading the race to sign the France international, having made him their top target this summer.

Chiesa trying to push through Juve transfer


Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa is aiming to seal a transfer to Juventus before the August 8 deadline, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Bianconeri have reportedly offered the 21-year-old a five-year contract at the Allianz Stadium, but Fiorentina's stubborn stance is threatening to scupper a deal.

La Viola want Chiesa to remain in Florence, with his existing contract set to run until 2022.

Lindelof welcomes Man Utd's interest in Maguire


Victor Lindelof says he is excited by the prospect of competing with Harry Maguire for a place in the Manchester United starting XI as the club's pursuit of the Leicester City defender continues.

United have already had two bids for the centre-back rejected as Leicester are reportedly holding out for £90 million ($112m).

Lindelof already has to battle with Eric Bailly, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling for a spot in the first team, while the likes of Marcos Rojo and Axel Tuanzebe are also pushing for a place.

Barca in advanced talks to sign Firpo


Barcelona are in advanced talks to sign Real Betis defender Junior Firpo, according to Diario Sport.

The Spanish champions have identified the 22-year-old as a primary transfer target but a deal will not be completed until Betis return from their pre-season tour of Mexico.

Firpo contributed three goals and four assists in 24 La Liga appearances for Betis last season.

Sporting coach wants Man Utd target Fernandes to stay


Sporting boss Marcel Keizer wants Bruno Fernandes to remain at the Portuguese side amid ongoing links to Manchester United.

United are leading the race to sign him but the two parties have yet to agree on a final fee.

Keizer, however, still hopes his side can hold on to their star attacker, insisting a "player of his quality cannot be replaced".

The 21-year-old centre-back spent last season with Vitesse and was wanted by other teams in the Championship, but has opted to join Pep Clotet's side.

Huddersfield are trying to sign Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea on a permanent deal.

Borussia Dortmund have beaten RB Leipzig to the signing of Red Bull Salzburg star Diadie Samassekou, Salzburger Nachrichten reports. 

The 23-year-old midfielder was expected to make the switch to Leipzig due to their ties to the Austrian club.

However, Dortmund have swooped in with a €20 million (£18m/$22m) and are on the verge of completing the deal.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery says that a serious injury to Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio "could be bad news" for his side's hopes of signing Dani Ceballos.

Aston Villa sign Trezeguet


Aston Villa have completed the signing of Mahmoud Hassan from Kasimpasa for a reported fee of around £9 million.

"We’re really excited to work with ‘Trez’," Villa boss Dean Smith said of the 24-year-old winger. "I’ve watched him a number of times.

"He’s the type of wide player that we have been looking for who is direct, causes problems for the opposition in the final third and scores goals."

Sevilla are aiming to resign Lazio Midfielder Luis Alberto, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The La Liga outfit have lodged a €30 million ($33m, £27m) bid for the 26-year-old, but Lazio are holding out for a fee within the region of €40 million ($45m, £36m).

Alberto contributed four goals and five assists in 27 Serie A appearances for Lazio last season.

Liverpool prepared to sell Ejaria


Liverpool are prepared to offload England Under-21 midfielder Ovie Ejaria permanently this summer.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds are unwilling to send the 21-year-old out on loan again but are open to his final sale.

Ejaria spent the second half of last season on loan at Reading, scoring once in 16 appearances.

Aston Villa end Benrahma pursuit


Aston Villa have ended their pursuit of Brentford winger Said Benrahma, according to Sky Sports.

The Villans will move on to alternative targets after seeing a £14 million ($17m) bid rejected by the Championship club.

Benrahma scored ten goals in 38 league matches for Brentford last season.

Leicester table offer for Praet


Leicester have offered to double Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet's wages in order to lure him to the King Power Stadium.

According to Leicester Mercury, the 25-year-old was left out of a training game on Tuesday and is also a target for AC Milan.

The Foxes have not yet submitted an official bid, but they hope to push through a deal quickly after offering Praet a significant pay rise.

Man City's Adarabioyo set to join Blackburn


Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo is set to join Blackburn on a season-long loan deal.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the 21-year-old will continue his development at Ewood Park, having also spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at West Brom.

Adarabioyo racked up 30 Championship appearances for the Baggies last term.

Wolff hired as Austin FC's first MLS head coach



Josh Wolff, a former U.S. national team and MLS star, has been hired as the first ever coach for Austin FC. 

The club will begin play in 2021, with Wolff expected to leave his post as a USMNT assistant to take over following the November FIFA window later this year.

Former USMNT midfielder Torres on trial with D.C. United


D.C. United could have players on the way in this summer, with Jose Torres, a former U.S. national team midfielder, on trial with the club. 

The Athletic's Pablo Mauer put a picture of the former Tigres player at United training out on social media on Tuesday. 

Torres has spent his entire career up to now in Liga MX, but was something of a regular with the USA ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where he made one appearance. 

Torres hasn't played for the USA since the 2013 Gold Cup and left Tigres for Puebla in 2018. 

Nothing has changed for Bale - Zidane


Gareth Bale played and scored for Real Madrid in Tuesday's International Champions Cup clash against Arsenal, but "nothing has changed" according to Zinedine Zidane. 

The Spanish side's boss wasn't as strong in his wording on Bale's expected depature on Tuesday as he was on Saturday, but made clear the expectations are still the same. 

"I haven't talked to him," the Madrid boss said following the match. "He has trained normally and that's why he played. Nothing has changed, you know what the situation is like."

Zola: Lukaku 'ideal' for Conte's Inter


Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is an "ideal" signing for Antonio Conte's Inter, according to Gianfranco Zola.

"Lukaku would make a big impact at Inter, as he has the ideal characteristics for Conte's football and has the kind of physicality from the Premier League that puts him a step above the rest in Serie A," he told FCInterNews.

Bale introduced at half-time vs Arsenal


The Gareth Bale transfer drama continues, with the winger brought on to play as the centre-forward for Real Madrid against Arsenal on Tuesday, just days after Zinedine Zidane had seemingly made it clear that he was headed for an exit from the club. 

But Bale was back in action against Arsenal, scoring to help the side come from 2-0 down at half-time to take a win in a shootout against the Premier League club.

Manchester United have given Inter seven days to meet their asking price for striker Romelu Lukaku, according to the Mirror

United are willing to let the 26-year-old leave, but want to ensure they have ample time before the August 8 transfer deadline to sign a replacement. 

Thus, United will pull the plug on any deal should Inter not reach their £75 million (€84m/$93m) valuation over the next week.

Arsenal beat Spurs to Ceballos move


Dani Ceballos will join Arsenal on a season-long loan after Real Madrid rejected an offer from Tottenham, reports ESPN FC.

Spurs wanted to sign the 22-year-old on a deal that included an option to buy, which caused Madrid to reject their advances. 

Arsenal, meanwhile, were comfortable with signing Ceballos on a loan deal only, which convinced the Blancos to send the midfielder to the Emirates.

Sheffield United aim to hijack Fer's move to Feyenoord


Sheffield United are looking to hijack Leroy Fer's move to Feyenoord, according to The Sun. 

The 29-year-old Dutchman is a free agent after departing Swansea, and is in talks with Feyenoord over a move back to his former side.

But Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is hoping he can convince Fer to join the Blades at the last minute. 

Crystal Palace losing patience with Arsenal over Zaha


Wilfried Zaha's move from Crystal Palace to Arsenal is in peril, with the Gunners falling well short of Palace's valuation. 

The Daily Mail reports that while Palace value Zaha at £80 million ($100m), Arsenal have thus far only bid £40m ($50m) for the winger. 

Palace do not want to be rushed into finding a replacement, so any sale would have to happen well before the August 8 transfer deadline. 

Brentford reject £14m Villa bid for Benrahma


Brentford have rejected a £14 million ($17m) bid from Aston Villa for winger Said Benrahma, reports Sky Sports News. 

The 23-year-old is keen to reunite with his former manager Dean Smith, but it's unclear if the move will happen. 

Villa are understood to be unwilling to bid more than £14m for the Algeria international.
