Farke would not sell Barcelona target Aarons 'for £100m'


Norwich City boss Daniel Farke insists that no bid would convince him to sell Barcelona-linked Max Aarons. 

"I wouldn't sell Max Aarons, not for £100m, because he's too important for us, but that's quite normal," Farke told BBC Radio Norfolk following reports the Canaries had turned down two offers from Camp Nou for their star.

Spurs won’t see Bale until after October internationals

Rapids complete move for MLS veteran


The Colorado Rapids have signed MLS veteran Steven Beitashour, reports

Beitashour was most recently with Los Angeles FC, having originally broken through with the San Jose Earthquakes in 2010.

The 33-year-old defender will primarily serve as depth behind starter Sam Vines.

‘Aston Villa missed a trick, they could’ve got Abraham for nothing’


Aston Villa “missed a trick” in not moving for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, claims Paul Merson, with Dean Smith told the £28 million ($36m) invested in Ollie Watkins could have been better used elsewhere.

Villa know all about Abraham’s qualities having seen him score 26 goals during a promotion-winning Championship campaign in 2018-19.

The 22-year-old returned to Stamford Bridge on the back of those efforts and forced his way into Frank Lampard’s plans – hitting the target 18 times last season.

The Nigerian forward spent last season on loan with Mainz, scoring one goal.

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Diogo Jota from Wolves as the Portuguese winger heads to Anfield in a £45 million ($58m) move.

Goal confirmed Liverpool's interest in Jota on Friday, as the Reds moved quickly onto their next target shortly after sealing the signing of Thiago Alcantara.

Just one day after confirming the signing of the Spain international midfielder, Liverpool have locked up a deal for Jota, who joins on a five-year contract as he becomes the second signing to arrive at Anfield this week.

Wijnaldum torn between Liverpool & Barcelona


Georginio Wijnaldum will be feeling “torn” at Liverpool, says Jason McAteer, with the Dutch midfielder aware that he probably only has “one more big move” left in his career as he sparks talk of interest from Barcelona.

Goal has learned that Ronald Koeman has made a player he knows well from the Netherlands international set-up a top target for those at Camp Nou.

Andrea Pirlo has admitted that it would be "difficult" for Luis Suarez to become a Juventus striker, and that the Barcelona star is unlikely to move to Turin this summer.

Goal has reported that Suarez wants to be granted a free transfer away from Camp Nou with his full salary of €14 million (£13m/$17m) guaranteed for the 2020-21 season.

Chelsea have agreed a fee of around £22m ($29m) with Rennes for goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, Goal can confirm.

The 29-year-old has verbally agreed on a five-year contract with the west Londoners and he is set to complete the relevant paperwork and undergo a medical upon his arrival to the United Kingdom.

Norwich City have rejected two offers from Barcelona for Max Aarons - according to The Athletic.

One of the Spanish giants' bids came in at £20 million ($26m) plus bonuses for the 20-year-old right-back, but the Canaries are holding out for a higher fee.

Barca will now turn their attention to Ajax star Sergino Dest, with Bayern Munich poised to make their own formal approach for Aarons before the transfer window closes.

Bale may make permanent move to Spurs from Madrid


The Welsh star's return to Spurs could be for the long term

Tottenham are set to confirm the loan signing of Gareth Bale from Real Madrid imminently, but the deal could possibly become long term.

The 31-year-old will join Spurs until the end of the season, but The Sun are reporting the north London club will look to extend the deal for another campaign if Bale proves to be a success.

Bale's contract with Real Madrid expires at the end of the 2022 season.
