Leeds United are considering a move for Liverpool strikers Divock Origi and Rhian Brewster, according to the Mirror.

Celtic's Odsonne Edouard remains the Whites' first choice striking target, but Belgium forward Origi is seen as an alternative.

In addition, Marcelo Bielsa's side are ready to make a loan move for Brewster, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Swansea.

Ancelotti frustrated with Everton transfer failings


Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is growing increasingly frustrated with the club's transfer strategy after missing out on key targets, according to the Star.

The Toffees missed out on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to Tottenham while another target, Gabriel Magalhaes, is expected to join Arsenal.

The Italian took the Toffees job on the understanding he would have significant funds to spend and is likely to apply further pressure to the club's board to bolster the squad before October's transfer deadline.

Napoli consider Sokratis


Napoli are considering a move for Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos should their move for Lille centre-back Gabriel fail, according to Corriere Dello Sport.

The Gunners are believed to be leading the chase for Gabriel, along with Napoli and Manchester United.

Should the 22-year-old move to Emirates Stadium then Sokratis, who played alongside Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso at Milan, is seen as an alternative for the Italian club.

‘Jimenez sale will require silly money’


The many suitors of Raul Jimenez, including the likes of Juventus and Manchester United, have been warned by Wolves legend John Richards that it will take “silly money” to prise the prolific striker from Molineux.

The Mexico international enjoyed the most productive campaign of his career to date in 2019-20, with 27 goals scored across all competitions.

Those efforts have brought Jimenez to the attention of leading sides across Europe, with his services said to be sought in the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga.

Milan eye Ceballos


AC Milan are ready to steal a march on Arsenal by launching a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to the Telegraph.

The Spain international spent last season on loan at the Emirates and a return, either on another loan or permanent deal, looked most likely this summer.

However, the departure of head of football Raul Sanllehi has caused a degree of upheaval at the Gunners, with Milan hoping to take advantage of that uncertainty with a late bid for Ceballos' services.

Andrea Pirlo and Gianluigi Buffon have, according to La Cuarta, connected Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal.

The Chilean has previously spent time in Turin and could be taken back to the Serie A champions this summer after seeing an exit door opened at Camp Nou.

The Wales and Colombia internationals are expected to be on the move this summer after falling out of favour at Santiago Bernabeu, but reported interest in their servies has delivered no formal approaches.

Arsenal sign Salah on free transfer


Arsenal have signed Dutch teenager Salah-Eddine from Feyenoord on a free transfer.

The 17-year-old central midfielder, known as Salah, will initially join up with the Gunners’ academy squad ahead of the 2020-21 campaign and has already trained with his new team-mates.

Roma have no intention of selling Nicolo Zaniolo this summer despite strong interest from Juventus, according to Calciomercato.

The 21-year-old is due to meet with new Roma owner Dan Friedkin in the coming days, with the American billionaire expected to highlight Zaniolo's importance to the club going forward.

Matty Longstaff has signed a two-year contract extension with Newcastle.
