Lyon closing in on Paqueta


Lyon are closing in on the signing of Lucas Paqueta from Milan - according to Calcio Mercato.

The French outfit are in talks to sign the 23-year-old midfielder on an initial season-long loan with the option to buy.

Paqueta was left out of Milan's 3-2 Europa League qualifying win over Bodo/Gilmt on Thursday amid the continued speculation over his future.

Southampton target Toulouse midfielder Sangare


Southampton have identified Toulouse midfielder Ibrahim Sangare as a transfer target - according to The Telegraph.

The Saints see the 22-year-old as the ideal replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who joined Tottenham earlier this summer.

Sangare has featured in 86 games for Toulouse since graduating to the senior squad in 2016, scoring twice.

Godin joins Cagliari from Inter on a three-year contract


Diego Godin has joined Cagliari on a three-year contract after completing a free transfer from Inter.

Godin was officially unveiled at Sardegna Arena on Thursday night, having committed his future to the club through to 2023.

The 34-year-old leaves Inter after just one full season, during which he made 36 appearances for Antonio Conte's side across all competitions, scoring twice.

Reds keen on USMNT youth starlet

Liverpool are eyeing a potential swoop for Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Giovanni Reyna - according to Bild.

The Reds would like to bring the United States U17 international to Anfield, but BVB have no plans to sanction his departure.

Dortmund are preparing to offer Reyna an extension at Westfalenstadion once he's old enough to sign his first professional contract, with his 18th birthday just around the corner.

Man Utd-linked Upamecano opens door to future transfer


Manchester United-linked centre-back Dayot Upamecano has opened the door to a transfer amid intensifying speculation over his future at RB Leipzig.

Upamecano has enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence since completing a €10 million (£9.2m/$11.7m) move to Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2017.

The 21-year-old has since racked up 115 appearances for the German outfit in all competitions, helping them challenge at the top of the Bundesliga and reach the latter stages of the Champions League.

The 18-year-old forward spent last season at Verona, making 17 appearances in Serie A and scoring his first professional goal.

Spanish defender Nacho Fernandez is set to leave Real Madrid before the transfer window closes - according to AS.

Italy looks like the most likely next destination for the 30-year-old, with Juventus, Napoli and Roma all being credited with an interest in his services.

Nacho only appeared in six La Liga matches for Real in 2019-2020, scoring once.

West Ham & Aston Villa keen on Loftus-Cheek


West Ham and Aston Villa have registered an interest in signing Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan after he was left out of the squad for the Carabao Cup match against Barnsley.

The 24-year-old was said to be frustrated at the decision made by Frank Lampard and he is now considering his options having fallen down the pecking order after the Blues' £220 million ($280m) summer transfer raids.

Villa are said to be targeting a No.8 for Dean Smith's squad and they can lean on the relationship built between Loftus-Cheek and their assistant head coach John Terry, who is a legendary player for the Blues.

Sampdoria are closing in on the signing of Inter winger Antonio Candreva - according to Calcio Mercato.

The 33-year-old will commit to a four-year contract at Luigi Ferraris Stadium, with a €2 million deal set to be finalised in the coming days.

Candreva featured in 32 Serie A matches for Inter last season, scoring five goals and laying on seven assists.

Everton want Tomori but he may stay at Chelsea


Fikayo Tomori is Everton's No.1 choice as they search for a new centre-back although Chelsea may ultimately decide to keep him, Fabrizio Romano reports.

The Blues are reluctant to lose Tomori and would rather loan out Antonio Rudiger, who has fallen down the pecking order under Frank Lampard.

As a result, the Toffees have apparently opened talks with Barcelona to sign Jean-Clair Todibo and are hoping to secure a loan, with an option to buy for €18 million (£16m/$21m).

Barca, though, want a permanent deal in place as they seek to offload Todibo to raise funds for a move for Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia.

Bayern won't let Cuisance leave on loan


Bayern Munich won't allow midfielder Michael Cuisance leave on loan, Sport Bild reports.

Leeds United were apparently keen on taking the Frenchman to Elland Road for the 2020-21 campaign, with Marseille reportedly interested as well.

Bayern will rebuff any approach, however, as they don't feel they have the options in midfield to allow him to leave, with Thiago having quit and Javi Martinez also soon to depart.

Fulham offer €18m for Barca's Todibo


Fulham have lodged an offer of €18 million (£16.5m/$21m) to sign Barcelona youngster Jean-Clair Todibo, RMC Sport claims.

French side Rennes are said to have registered their interest in a loan for the 20-year-old centre-back, although Barca are keen for an outright sale.

The report states that the Blaugrana value Todibo at €20m, with the player himself keen to leave Camp Nou in search of regular game time.

Atletico Madrid reveal Man City's £78m bid for Gimenez


Atletico Madrid rejected a £78 million (€85m/$99m) offer from Manchester City for defender Jose Gimenez, the La Liga club's president Enrique Cerezo confirmed.

Gimenez, 25, has been linked with a move to City and AS reported earlier this month that Atletico had turned down a big-money offer from the Premier League club.

Cerezo confirmed the La Liga giants had received the offer from City, but wanted to keep the defender – who tested positive for coronavirus on Monday – at the Wanda Metropolitano.
