Fernandinho, Paulinho and Thiago Silva will not travel to Goiania

The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF) confirmed on Sunday that Brazil captain Thiago Silva and midfielders Paulinho and Fernandinho will not travel with the rest of the delegation to Goiania for the Selecao’s first pre-World Cup friendly.

Luiz Felipe Scolari’s side meet Panama on Tuesday at the Serra Dourada stadium, but the trio will remain at the Granja Comary training complex.

Bayern Munich defender Dante will step in to replace captain Silva, while Inter midfielder Hernanes looks set to step in for Paulinho in midfield after the latter did not participate in team training on Sunday.

Brazil are expected to face Panama with the following team: Julio Cesar; Daniel Alves, David Luiz, Dante, Marcelo; Luiz Gustavo, Hernanes, Oscar; Hulk, Neymar, Fred.

The Brazilian delegation traveled to Goiania on Sunday evening for the penultimate Gillette Brasil Global Tour (GBGT) friendly of the season. They will train on Monday afternoon in a session that will be open to the public.
