Doorman Claims Tottenham Hotspur’s Ledley King Racially Abused & Assaulted Him

The Bouncer who was allegedly assaulted by Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King outside a London nightclub claims that he was racially abused.

King was arrested outside Punk nightclub in Soho Street on suspicion of an assaulting another man in the early hours of Sunday and was later questioned.

The England international defender, who was apparently refused entry for being too drunk, is alleged to have hit 22-year-old doorman Wahib Butt as well as racially abusing him.

"He was saying, ‘Don’t you know who I am? I’m on £80,000 a week and you’re on £10 an hour'," Butt is quoted as saying by The Daily Mirror.

"I asked him to leave but he swung at me as I turned and hit me on the left side of the mouth. He’s meant to be a role model as an England player.

"But his behaviour was appalling and I’ll be devastated if he isn’t prosecuted.

"I didn’t recognise him and said, ‘I don’t give a damn, you’re not coming in.'

"I still wouldn’t change my mind and he wandered off, opened his zip and peed in the street in front of everyone.

"I think someone called the police. A girl who works for the club came out with a camera as things were getting nastier.

"Then he got angrier and called me a ‘fat c***’ and a ‘P*** b*****d.'

"When my head doorman got involved, King said, ‘You baldy t**t’ and said, ‘You’re white, that’s why you’re being racist to me by not letting me in’."

"I wasn’t expecting to be hit and I hadn’t got any defence ready, so he caught me really hard.

"I saw him pushing a woman officer in the back of the van. And the officer who took my statement told me he was lashing out at others in the van."

Butt also revealed that he told King he supported Liverpool, to which the Spurs star is said to have replied, "Oh, you support fat [Steven] Gerrard."
