Tuchel has put Gareth Southgate and England on alert by admitting Kane has a back issue. Tuchel has now offered an update on the situation and says it is still a problem for the striker.

  • WHAT TUCHEL SAID

He told reporters: "Harry Kane has back problems. Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane won't be involved. Jamal Musiala has also let us know that he's dealing with some issues, so he definitely won't be available tomorrow.

"We'll get an idea of where everyone's at today. A few of the lads will get the game time they've been wanting recently. It'll be about striking a balance between preparing well and not bombarding the players with information."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Kane has scored 44 goals in his first season with Bayern, an impressive return by the Englishman even though he will end the season empty-handed once again. However, Kane can go for glory in the summer with England at Euro 2024 and will be vital to the Three Lions' chances of success in Germany.

    WHAT NEXT FOR KANE

Kane may sit out Bayern's next game on Sunday against Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. Bayern then wrap up what's been a disappointing campaign against Hoffenheim. The attention will then switch to international duty for Kane, with England due to play friendlies against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iceland before opening their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia.
