    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Adams has struggled with hamstring and back problems, forcing him to undergo surgery and spend several months on the sidelines, and questions have been asked of whether he can figure for his country in a major international tournament this summer – having previously played a part in the United States’ CONCACAF Nations League triumph.

  • WHAT IRAOLA SAID

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has delivered positive news on Adams, telling the Daily Echo of why the American star did not figure in a season-ending 2-1 defeat at Chelsea: “We didn’t want to take any risks. The last game of the season, for us it’s very important that Tyler starts the pre-season in the best condition, without any small issues. So we decided not to take any risks there.”
