  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The Hammers' hierarchy are targeting two defenders, alongside a midfielder and a striker to rebuild their side in the mould of new boss Lopetegui - as per GiveMeSport. West Ham are reportedly chasing Max Kilman who played under the Spaniard at Wolves after talks to sign Flamengo's Fabricio Bruno collapsed. Their scouting in Brazil has not stopped there, however, and Luis Guilherme is expected to complete a move to east London from Palmeiras.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Key to the Hammers' transfer search will be finding a consistent, regular goalscorer to lead their front-line. Michail Antonio has been a loyal servant to the club but has not delivered the goalscoring numbers Lopetegui will be looking for. The club are considering a move for Sevilla's Youssef En-Nesyri who also played under Lopetegui at Sevilla - although interest in the Moroccan is fierce.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

West Ham may have to prepare for life without star player Lucas Paqueta. The FA have recommended a lifetime ban for the Brazilian should he be found guilty of betting breaches. It is alleged that Paqueta intentionally sought to get himself booked against Leicester City, Aston Villa, Leeds and Bournemouth.

    WHAT NEXT FOR WEST HAM?

The Hammers will look to close any deals as quickly as possible. Lopetegui will be eager to have all his dream signings in position before pre-season starts in order to begin imposing his philosophy on the club.
