  • WHAT HAPPENED?

FC Midtjylland goalkeeper Elias Rafn Olafsson was guilty of a dismal error as his team were beaten at Romanian side FCSB. The hosts took a 1-0 lead into half-time but doubled it within six seconds of the restart. FC Midtjylland actually kicked off the second period and played the ball straight back to Olafsson who was well outside of his penalty area. Yet Olafsson's first touch was poor and his attempted clearance was even worse, deflecting off onrushing FCSB attacker Daniel Birligea and rolling back towards goal for the striker to gently tap into an empty net.

  • WHAT MIDTJYLLAND SAID

Midtjylland coach Thomas Thomasberg admitted it was tough to take. He told the club's website: "It was hard to concede a goal after so few seconds after the break, and it might have killed the match a bit. A disappointing feeling because we had a good opportunity to get something from here."
