The Turkish chef, whose real name is Nusret Gokce, gained notoriety during the 2022 World Cup final for his antics as he tried to hold the trophy and was spotted interrupting the celebrations of the Argentina players. Since that incident, football fans have not looked upon the chef kindly, but that did not prevent Arteta from visiting Nusr-Et, his restaurant in Dubai.

In a video shared on Salt Bae's Instagram account, Arteta was fed a piece of steak from the chef's fork as the Gunners boss looked visibly awkward.

Arsenal fans were not amused with this encounter, with some humorously speculating that Arteta's rendezvous with Salt Bae could be a bad omen for the remainder of the football season.

Arsenal are currently in the UAE for a warm-weather training camp in Dubai. They are on a mini-break of just less than two weeks and will get back to competitive action on January 20 against Crystal Palace at Emirates Stadium.
