Mbappe linked up with England star Bellingham to net his first goal in white. The 25-year-old made a darting run into the Atalanta box before being picked out by his Los Blancos team-mate. Mbappe then made no mistake in finding the net, firing past Juan Musso in goal and into the top corner before soaking up the celebrations.

Every eye was on Mbappe as he stepped onto the pitch for the first time as a Real Madrid player. Some can freeze under the spotlight but the World Cup winner followed in the footsteps of Galactico icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale by scoring on his debut.

After helping Carlo Ancelotti's side to a dominant win in the UEFA Super Cup, Mbappe will now have a few days of rest before making his La Liga bow. The champions will face Mallorca away on Sunday evening as they begin their title defence.
