Prince William's visit to Wrexham coincided with St. David's Day, the annual celebration honouring Wales's patron saint. Behind the bar, Prince William pulled a pint for the pub's owner, Wayne Jones, and indulged in a shot of Four Walls whiskey, a brand founded by McElhenney himself. However, Reynolds was unable to join the festivities due to his commitments to the latest installment of the Deadpool film series.

Outside the pub, Prince William shared a touching moment with young Florence Boyle, exchanged high-fives, and received a daffodil—a traditional emblem of St. David's Day. Continuing his visit, Prince William made his way to the Racecourse Ground, where he was presented with a personalized Wrexham jersey bearing his name and the number 9, a token of appreciation from first-team captain Luke Young and club captain Ben Tozer.
