USMNT star Christian Pulisic achieves AC Milan first since Zlatan Ibrahimovic – with 15-goal Captain America emulating legendary Swedish striker

The United States international continues to take his game to career-best heights in Italy. He hit 15 goals across all competitions last season – his first at San Siro – with such numbers being posted for the first time. Raising that bar is the challenge that Pulisic now faces.

He has matched his output from 2023-24 in the current campaign, reaching 15 goals once more alongside seven assists. That return has earned Pulisic plenty of plaudits, with the 26-year-old considered to be the main man for Milan and one of the brightest lights in Serie A.

Pulisic’s efforts have seen him match club legend and current Milan adviser Ibrahimovic. The American has become the first Rossoneri player since Zlatan in 2010-11 and 2011-12 to score 15+ goals in each of their first two seasons with the club.
