Rodman hit out after being called "Tiffany" and hearing regular references to her estranged NBA legend father during commentary of boyfriend Ben Shelton's fourth round Wimbledon match. THE BIGGER PICTURE

Rodman posted on social media afterwards that her name is "TRINITY not Tiffany" and also criticised the constant references to her father by adding: "Also, for Ben’s matches he has his family there as his support system, which includes his dad… my dad’s not even in MY life so no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don’t even want him talked about during mine." The complaint has now led to an apology being issued by the BBC on behalf of commentator Andrew Castle.

  • WHAT THE BBC SAID

A BBC spokesperson said: “Andrew apologises for mispronouncing Trinity Rodman’s name during the Ben Shelton v Lorenzo Sonego match.”
