Tom Brady's Birmingham are going big! Championship side launch shock move to sign ex-Barcelona star amid Premier League promotion dream

The Senegal international left Barcelona last season as La Blaugrana offloaded assets to secure the transfer of Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig. Faye can play in the centre of defence, and at left back, and has impressed during his time in France. 

Birmingham are pushing for back-to-back promotions. Buoyed by substantial financial backing and Brady's star power, the Blues have been able to punch above their weight in the transfer market securing big names transfers for Kyogo Fuhurashi and Demarai Gray amongst others. They have collected four points from two games to start the season. 

Birmingham will have to compete with a number of clubs for Faye's services according to a report by Mail Online. "A number of Premier League clubs" are believed to be tracking the highly rated 21-year-old.

Brady is undoubtedly proving to be a pull for the Blues, who are well positioned to compete in England's second tier. The appeal of an exciting project may well be enough to convince Faye to sign for the upwardly mobile club.
