Thierry Henry criticized for behaviour towards Christian Pulisic as pundit appears to ignore USMNT & AC Milan star during live interview

AC Milan made a fast start to their Champions League tie against Liverpool on Tuesday when <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/video-christian-pulisic-usmnt-ac-milan-liverpool/blt215145584c9cd229" target="_blank">Pulisic opened the scoring</a> in the third minute. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/christian-pulisic-usmnt-ac-milan-liverpool/bltc11f5d649aa63884" target="_blank">But that was as good as it got for the USMNT star</a> and his team-mates, with Arne Slot's Reds asserting their authority en route to a 3-1 win at the San Siro.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Pulisic was dragged in front of the cameras at full-time for an interview with CBS Sports Golazo. A clip from Pulisic's discussion with pundits Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards and Thierry Henry and host Kate Abdo has emerged on social media, with Henry facing criticism for appearing to ignore the 26-year-old.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

In the interview, Richards pushed Henry to ask Pulisic a question. The Frenchman, who was looking down at his notes at the time, looked up and said, "no", before looking around in bemusement and then turning his attention back to his notes. Henry clearly had no interest in speaking to Pulisic further and has been branded an "arrogant piece of manure" for his behaviour.

"Just flat weird behavior from Thierry Henry during this Pulisic interview. Strange and awkward," wrote @USACFC_ on X.Meanwhile, @petithazard2 wrote: "That expression was nasty."@DandMussoccer said: "Can’t believe some talking heads (and ex-players!) actually wanted Thierry Henry as coach. WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING

Some people have come to Henry's defence, suggesting the former Arsenal striker didn't want to pile on after a clearly frustrated Pulisic had just suffered defeat.
