Beckham played 394 games for Manchester United between 1992 and 2003, before also turning out for Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain at a time when high-profile English players abroad were less common. He represented England on 115 occasions, a Three Lions record for an outfield player at the time of his retirement, and set up his own club, Inter Miami, in 2018. He has represented the very best of British football at a global level for the best part of 30 years and has worked as a UNICEF ambassador since 2005.
