Sergio Busquets labelled 'a nasty cry-baby' by former rival Wesley Sneijder over Champions League antics during Barcelona days

Former Barcelona midfielder and current Inter Miami star Busquets locked horns many times with Sneijder earlier in his career. The Dutchman recently opened up in facing the ex-Spain international, claiming he found Busquets 'extremely annoying'.

Speaking to Ziggo Sport, the 40-year-old said, "Busquets was an extremely annoying player, always giving it to others but never able to receive. As soon as he received one hit he would start crying. An absolute cry-baby. I literally had fights with him every single game. At one point I told him: 'I will see you in Ibiza in the summer, then you and I will talk again'."

He also recalled facing the Spaniard in the two-legged 2009/10 Champions League semi-final between Inter and Barca, "In 2010 we beat Barcelona 3-1 at home, then we had to go to Camp Nou and after eight minutes, [Thiago] Motta hit him and Busquets started rolling on the ground while looking through his hands to see if Motta got a red card, and then he got up again and he was fine, the cry-baby. A nasty guy to play against."

Busquets left the Blaugrana last summer after winning every single trophy available to him, including nine La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues. He followed his former colleague and close friend Lionel Messi to MLS and joined David Beckham co-owned Inter Miami. With the American club, the midfielder won the Leagues Cup in his maiden campaign and recently bagged the Supporters' Shield.

The 36-year-old will be next seen in action for the Herons in the play-off round as the Eastern Conference champions take on the winner of CF Montreal and Atlanta United.
