The U.S. is in consideration to host a second edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, even though the first is yet to take place, according to The Athletic.
It would make for a historic run of tournaments that starts with next year's Club World Cup, and includes the 2026 World Cup, 2028 Olympics, 2029 Club World Cup, and then a possible Women's World Cup in 2031.
Sponsorship deals and potential marketing opportunities for European clubs have been named among reasons for the possible venue.
