Van Persie started his career at Feyenoord before moving to Arsenal in 2004 where he spent eight years. In 2012, in a much-hyped transfer move, the Dutch forward joined Manchester United and in his maiden season at Old Trafford he won his first and only Premier League title. He returned to the Netherlands in January 2018 and spent one and a half seasons at his boyhood club before hanging up his boots.
