Revealed: Liverpool's demands to Real Madrid as Reds consider allowing Trent Alexander-Arnold to join Spanish giants before Club World Cup

La Liga giants Madrid are expected to sign the right-back on a free transfer at the expiry of his Liverpool deal this summer but want to sign him in time for the tournament in the United States. The Reds have made their expectations clear if that is to happen.

AS reports that Liverpool have told Madrid they are happy to let him go so long as relations between the player and club remain good, with the player needing to make clear his intentions. They would also want a small compensation figure of around £900,000 to cover the final month of his salary.

FIFA is opening additional transfer windows for Club World Cup participants, allowing the Spanish side to theoretically register their new man between June 1-10 - or between June 27-July 3 for the knock-out stages. The Spanish club are targeting the first of those two windows.

Alexander-Arnold must make his final commitment to Madrid by signing a deal with them, while he is still set to feature for Premier League champions Liverpool between now and the end of the season.
