Several fans took to X to share their opinion on the possibility of removal of the highly controversial VAR from the Premier League starting from the 2024/25 campaign.
A fan named Will Reyner expressed frustration over the referees more than the technology as he wrote, "Use it like they do in Europe. Not difficult. It’s the referees who need scrapping."
A fan account named Asensii refused to blame the technology as he wrote, "Only thieves complain about CCTV."
Patrick Timmons also blamed the referees as he wrote, "If you can view the same incident 10 times from 10 different angles and STILL come to the wrong decision, the issue is the referees, not the technology."
An account named The Ferguson Way wrote, "Blaming VAR for the ref's being useless is like blaming the car for not knowing to drive."
This account, named Shadows Of Constantinople, backed the Premier League clubs' decision by writing, "Get rid of it! It’s corrupt and wastes our time! It was BETTER BEFORE."
