Real Madrid plot next Trent Alexander-Arnold move with Liverpool concerned Ibrahima Konate's head has already been turned

Trent Alexander-Arnold announced his intention to leave Liverpool at the end of the season. The England international will see his contract expire this summer and join Los Blancos for free, if this was not bad enough, as per Jose Felix Diaz, the Spanish giants are planning a similar sinister move for the Reds' French defender Konate.

The Premier League club tried to present the best deal to the England international but he declined, this has caused more panic as Konate too has just one year left on his contract. Madrid have kept the French defender on their radar for a long time and are waiting to acquire him for free as well. Madrid sporting directors are not only eyeing to bring Konate but many other players on free transfer next year. William Saliba, being one of the names, that constantly pops up as Madrid plans a defensive makeover.

Dean Huijsen, another prized Premier League asset from Bournemouth, is set to join Los Blancos for £50 million ($66m) this year. With uncertainty surrounding Raul Ascencio's trial, no wonder the Madrid club has stepped up and is duly preparing to secure their back line to counter the shortcomings they faced in defence this season.

Liverpool managed to save two out of their three biggest asset's this season by extending the contracts of Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk. The club understands more needs to be done and will have to bring Konate in their confidence for him to sign a contract extension. Meanwhile, Madrid have made a request to Liverpool for releasing Alexander-Arnold before his contract expiry so he could play Club World Cup for them.
